New Atman Cloud Infrastructure with Metrocluster of Arrays
Atman launches a new public cloud infrastructure based on OpenStack, with an array metrocluster and higher disk performance. Atman Cloud, with its new features, protects customers from data loss and increases operational efficiency of services, while maintaining existing prices for cloud resources.
To significantly improve the quality of our cloud services, we have launched a completely new Atman Cloud infrastructure with the latest stable version of OpenStack software. Here‘s what we offer with the infrastructure:
1. Metrocluster of arrays
The arrays located in Atman Data Center WAW‑1 and Atman Data Center WAW‑2 communicate with each other in active‑active mode, continuously synchronizing customer data between sites. As a result, Atman Cloud customers are guaranteed access to up‑to‑date data even if one of the arrays fails.
2. Higher block drive performance than before
Higher read and write speeds:
- Standard: 2,000 IOPS – up from 1,000 IOPS
- Fast: 8,000 IOPS – up from 6,000 IOPS
- Ultra: 15,000 IOPS – up from 12,000 IOPS.
In addition, we will soon introduce the Rapid speed of 25,000 IOPS and Local Storage drives – super‑fast, ultra‑low latency drives.
3. Full utilization of processor flags in servers
Higher performance of processor operations at the same clock speed.
4. Higher performance of API operations than before – by about 30%
5. Nested virtualization feature
Ability to isolate a portion of virtual machine resources and run a new virtual machine on it for testing or development.
6. Fewer and shorter maintenance operations
Reduced frequency and length of maintenance windows for software updates on management and compute servers, as well as faster and more efficient recovery of environments after maintenance work.
